The environs of the town of Slaný

     You can walk a nature trail that goes through the dominant feature of the region - the Slaný Hill. You can hardly believe that this calm and quiet place lies rigt in the middle of the bustling industrial town.

     Our region can rightfully boast with one protected technical monument which has far and wide no parallel. It is an open-air museum dedicated to coal mining in the region of Kladno and Slaný situated in the village of Vinařice.

      A true surprise can be found in a small village of Hobšovice (10 km far from Slaný) - a private museum of historical cars! The exhibition area is located in a barn...

     An object of light fortification pattern 37/B2-80z - one of few well- preserved objects of so called ´Prague line´ built for the defence purposes against fascist Germany before the World War II.

     The dominant feature of the castle are the remainders of a high prismatic tower in the eastern part with the rests of an early-Gothic chapel on the groundfloor and with the ruins of a palace in the west. Late-Gothic fortification with a semicircular bastion with the key embrasures can be clearly seen up to now in the northern, western and southern part of the castle.
