Geographical location of the town

       The Royal town of Slaný is situated in the Slaný Plain which is the northwestern part of a geomorphologic whole called the Prague Plain. Its dominant feature is the Slaný Hill. Slaný is about 25 km far from Prague. A creek called Červený potok flows through it from the southwest to the northeast.


     The town of Slaný is situated at the crossing of the roads Prague - Louny, Prague - Karlovy Vary with roads leading to Litoměřice, Velvary and Kladno. Railway in direction Prague - Most goes through Slaný as well
